We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager for Controlled Motion Solutions in our Sales Department.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • DC/AC Motors, controllers, actuators, and technical sales.
  • Identify and acquire new customers as assigned. Enhance revenues by up-selling products to existing customers.
  • Build a sustainable and robust sales pipeline and develop accurate and rigorous forecasting and account planning.
  • Effectively manage and drive the sales cycle from prospecting through to successful closure.
  • Recommend service and product enhancements to improve the sales potential and customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with engineering to develop and deliver compliant solutions that conform to customer requirements.
  • Assess and provide feedback concerning potential future development needs regarding electro-mechanical systems, including improvement to existing products with added features or upgraded components.
  • Follow up on outstanding quotes, proposals, or requests for information in a timely manner.
  • Communicate customer issues with the team and management, and devise ways of improving the customer experience.
  • Create and present product proposals and quotations to customers.
  • Respond to technical questions raised by existing customers, potential customers, and internal members.
  • Research technical issues, problems, and failures identified by customers, and develop solutions with technical and operations teams using appropriate internal and external resources and processes.
  • Investigate complex warranty issues and develop corrective action to eliminate recurrence of problem; provide customer replacement product in a timely manner.
  • Represent company at trade shows and promote AME products and brand.

Job Requirements

  • 10 years’ experience in selling AC/DC motors, controllers, actuators, and controlled motion solutions in commercial and industrial B2B market segments.
  • Proven success in the entire sales process (planning to closing).
  • Sharp negotiation and networking skills.
  • Proven sales history and lead generator.
  • Excellent written, verbal & interpersonal communication.
  • Strong knowledge of business and sales growth techniques.
  • Able to travel to customer locations, both US and international, as necessary – up to 75% of time.
