AM Equipment (“AME”) will repair or replace, at its sole expense, any windshield wiper assembly, component, or fractional horsepower motor which has proven to be defective in workmanship or material. This warranty requires that product use be in accordance with AME recommended practices and customer’s stated application. AME may require that the customer return defective product to AME, or an authorized distributor, for analysis and determination of defect cause (shipping costs paid by customer; AME will issue credit memo to customer for shipping costs if AME accepts responsibility for defect after analysis). In the event product can be repaired without returning to AME, the company will reimburse the original purchaser for preauthorized repairs, for up to one hour of labor at purchaser’s normal hourly rate, not to exceed US $120.00.
AME will not be responsible for any defect which has resulted from normal wear, misuse, abuse, or any attempted repair or alteration made by anyone other than AME that was not preauthorized. Wiper blades are excluded from this warranty policy unless claim is made prior to installation. Under no circumstances shall AME be held liable for incidental or consequential damages resulting from a defective product.
This warranty is AME’s sole product warranty and sets forth the customer’s exclusive remedy with respect to defective wiper products and fractional horsepower motors.
Due to the diversity of our product line and broad use in a variety of applications, the product warranty period is specific to industry application. The warranty period for all applications begins at the date of product manufacture, or, if documented by customer, the date product is placed in service.
Rail Applications:
Wiper arms warranty period is two years.
Wiper motors warranty period is 1.5 million cycles, 1.5 years, or 1,000 operating hours, whichever occurs first.
All other components and fractional horsepower motors warranty period is two years.
Bus and Commercial Truck Applications: The warranty period is 1.5 million cycles, 1,000 operating hours, or 100,000 miles/160,000 kilometers, whichever occurs first.
Agriculture, Industrial, and Marine Applications: The warranty period is two years or 1,000 operating hours, whichever occurs first.
Oil and Mining Applications: The warranty period is two years or 2,000 operating hours, whichever occurs first.
RV (Recreational Vehicle) and Military Applications: The warranty period is two years.
All Other Applications not Noted Above: AME will provide specific warranty information directly to customers for all other applications.
